The following are some kitchen cleaning tips that may help you accomplish this. While they may sound like they take a lot of effort, they just might save your time and energy on down the road.

Take care when using orange-based cleaners when cleaning a kitchen. Many of these cleaners contain petroleum distillates, which break down the rubber gaskets located around dishwashers and refridgerators.

One of the best cleaners is one you create your self. Fill a spray bottle half full of water. Then, add a squirt or two of Ivory Liquid dish soap, then finish filling with water. It will do a great job of cleaning kitchen surfaces without leaving residue. This mixture also cleans most kitchen surfaces and appliances, and does not contain harsh chemicals.

For removing those pesky stains that just won't come out, mix a 50/50 solution of water and hydrogen peroxide, and use this to remove the stain. Blot on the spot and let it set for 30 minutes. Then, scrub lightly with baking soda if needed. Shaving cream also does a great job on difficult stains.

Do not use anything harder than Ivory Liquid dish soap on marble surfaces. Harsher cleansers will damage the surface. Always dry marble surfaces after cleaning to prevent water spots. Keep in mind that marble stains easily, so wipe spills as soon as they occur.

Do not use vinegar or orange based cleaners to clean marble. This is because the acid in them will damage the marble. Peroxide is safe for stain removal on marble surfaces, but it is often wise to try one of the above suggested tips before resorting to its use. Should you feel it necessary to use peroxide to remove a stain, be wary of using baking soda afterward, even if you plan to scrub lightly. This way your marble surfaces will remain beautiful and smooth.
